Our Work

What we do?

  • We provide quality education, in addition to regular education, for vulnerable children and adolescents through teaching and development in the practice of life skills;

  • Formation of citizens committed to the future of the planet who, guided by the UN SDGs , learn from early childhood to be agents of transformation of their surroundings;

  • Maximum development of the potential of each individual, so that they can choose their own paths.

How we do?

  • With Project Based Learning methodology, Rizoma promotes education in a meaningful and transformative way, aiming at the development of life skills;

  • We act as an adjunct to formal education, adding efforts with the public authorities, to ensure quality education (SDG 4) for children and adolescents in a situation of social vulnerability;

  • We carry out actions with volunteers, on weekends, to develop life skills through real projects, transforming the child into the volunteer.

What Differents Us?

– We combine the teaching of cognitive and socioemotional skills (life skills) with academic ones. We do this in a fun way and within the context and repertoire of the learners;

- We measure the impact directly, observing in each one the development of the proposed skills;

- We have a work team and a network of volunteers with different backgrounds and socioeconomic situations, which ensures a rich exchange of repertoire and life experiences, with impact and learning for all involved.
